Marquette (EST)

April

Friday, 4/3 6pm: Outdoor Stations of the Cross

A group of us will meet at Holy Cross Cemetery (1400 Wright St.) near the mausoleum to begin walking at 6pm.  We will read a reflection at each station- stroller and wheel chair accessible. *Crafting in Community will resume in the Fall

 

Thursday, 4/16 12-1pm: Coffee in Community

Meeting at Caribou Coffee inside Econo Foods.  There is a nice gas fireplace area.  We will have some questions of which to wonder & ponder. 

*Coffee in Community will resume again in the Fall.

 

Saturday, 4/18 6:30pm: Pop-Up Church

Prayers of lamentation & peace hosted by the Episcopal Diocese and held at the chapel at St. Paul's 201 E Ridge St.

 

Sunday, 4/26 3:30-5pm: Wild Church Service

Marquette Commons Indoor Farmers Market area, 112 S 3rd St.

 

May

Fri. 5/15 - Sun. 5/17: Endangered Species Art Installation

The art installation will be on display outside at The Episcopal Diocese of Northern Michigan, 131 E. Ridge St, Marquette, MI. The public is invited to choose an endangered animal that is up for “spiritual adoption” along with a prayer packet to take home and share with family and friends.

U.P. Wild in Sault Ste. Marie's Free Tree for Youth 

Know a person under 18? Do they want to plant a tree this spring? 

Trees are native to Michigan (last year we received cedars), and they are delivered mid April. We can make a big difference in the life of the youth and the health of creation all around us esp. in the Soo. Contact Branch Leader Katie to sign up.
